Institute of Technology of Agricultural Products
The Institute of Technology of Agricultural Products established in 1933 by the Ministry of Agriculture as «Station of Agricultural Technology». Since 1952 is operating as Research Institute in its current premises in Lycovrissi Attiki.
Nowadays it belongs to the National Agricultural Research Foundation (NAGREF) that established by the law Ν.1845/1989 under the auspecies of the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food.
In the Institute of Technology of Agricultural Products there are 4 sections: Biotechnology of Agricultural Products, Department of Fresh Product Preservation, Food Processing department, Food Quality and Safety Department
There are also 6 laboratories. Three of them are accredited by the 3: Microbiological Analysis, Physical Analysis and Genetic Identification.
A great number of research projects funded by the EU, GSRT and other bodies has been implemented in the Institute or is in progress.
Through these projects, the Institute has developed close collaboration with many research and education bodies in Greece and abroad.
The results of the research projects are published in Greek and international scientific journals and announced in scientific conferences.
